#1 Awhile ago I downloaded the schematics for the Mark Levinson ML2 amplifier ( www.marklev.com) and found them very unimpressive. However I've been bored the last week and I redrew them, and they are actually something I would like to build. I've drawn it all out with some PCB layout and it looks like fun.

The ML-2 is a massive class A mono amplifier. It's output power is often advertised to be 25 watts but it's actually more than that, maybe up to 100W. With its class A design that means it's large, heavy, it runs hot and it's power hungry (even when idle). It'll happily suck 400W from mains (double that if your system is stereo !).

The circuit of this amplifier is referenced from MARK LEVINSON's first-generation classic amp ML2. The amplifier has a warm and neutral sound and excellent extension of the treble. What's great is that the thickness is not reduced after the extension. This is the same as the sound of LNP-2. Quite different, both thin and thick.
